Homes in Vilnius

And my view over Vilnius:

The pretty-pretty bathroom (with, like, so many mirrors and a bathtub):

Soirée for slavic food and the forming of an art band

In September had to go to Helsinki to organise myself.

Had some fun too.

Travelling III, Berlin the 2nd week

Outer-web reality has taken its share from my time for a while. But I thought I would give you a very quick very random postume glimpse on some of the pics from my tour from Vilnius to Berlin through Poznan in the beginning of September.

The second week in Berlin I spent flaneuring on my own.

Somehow I often manage to hit the city while there's some important football match going on. A nearly endless flow of fans heading towards the game, dressed accordingly, drinking beer, surprised me on the Warschauer str. station.

Mauerpark. Amfitheater-karaoke. Sunshine.

On Monday morning this digital screen with security camera on the station matched my mood. I had to take a photo to make sure I wasn't loosing my senses. Luckily the photo repeated the
hebrew.

A rather gloomy figure.

Fantastic light. This photo was technically the worst, but I do love the legs.

I was planning to go to some art galleries in Kreuzberg but got tempted again by the turkish market and walked to the left, not right, after Neukölln bridge. Good choice. There was a band playing brazilian rhythms, another playing klezmer, loads of friendly people, a great atmosphere.

Beautiful morning light.

Travelling II, Berlin the 1st week

The first week in Berlin,
the first thing on the first day, we rushed for some thai-tofu.

For the first week we lived in Friedrisschain, at a friend's friend's flat, the keys were generously passed to us by a friend of the friend's friend.

We walked around, got lost, sat in parks, cafés, bars, read, drew, generally did not so much. Berlin is perfect for that.

Travelling I, Poznan

Outer-web reality has taken its share from my time for a while. But I thought I would give you a very quick very random postume glimpse on some of the pics from my tour from Vilnius to Berlin through Poznan in the beginning of September.

In Vilnius we were having a beer with P and A and A decided to come with us to Poland in an one-hour-notice. Luckily taxis are cheap in Vilnius.

In Poznan,
A&P - this outfit-combo was an accident, they told. Well, here you can see the dress-code criteria on which I choose my friends...:

There was a peculiar piece of, maybe, street art hanging between two buildings on the central square. For me it appeared to be Arafat landing with a bra as a parachute...

We thought of maybe going to this museum, but then we didn't. But we met yet another new cat friend.

Lenin-café was quite kitschy and red.

Reflections, sky, round forms in architecture, metal. Lovely.

Yea, our host, my dear friend Ag. is such a lovely fast lady, even trams seem slow compared to her energy.

In the city there's no real earth under your feet

I was being asked if it's really that beautiful in Vilnius everywhere all the time.

Well,

this is the dorm we live in during the language course.

But gray stone and concrete can be beautiful too:

a small alley...

...leading to this yard. Nature morte with pavement and apples.

reclaim the blank walls, that's how I like my gray stone city

Wide, wild and blue

On the other shore of the Baltic Sea.

Lakes are my scenery, sea is always a bit foreign to me.The huge cold waves carried people around like pieces of paper. Swimming and screaming made adrenaline flow.

We also made a communal sand castle:

On the right lives Haris Poteris, middle front Galadriel, behind them Jesus, on the left Sauron

..as you can see.

an environmental contemporary land art piece studying (possibly) the vocative forms of our mentors' names

on the dunes of Nida in the evening the air was lucid and calm
